Within ING Operations, data plays a key role in driving operational excellence and informed decision‑making.

As a Data Analyst, you will support OPS teams by transforming operational data into clear insights, automating reports and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with experienced analysts and business stakeholders in a collaborative, learning‑oriented environment.

About the team

OPS CoE is the analytics partner for Banking Operations, supporting performance management, capacity planning, automation and data quality initiatives. The team works closely with OPS experts, Data Management, IT and automation teams to ensure reliable data and meaningful insights. We value collaboration, curiosity and continuous learning, and we support each other’s professional growth.

Your day to day

  • Write and maintain code to automate OPS reports and data processing using Python, SQL, VBA or C#

  • Support automation of OPS reporting to reduce manual effort and improve data reliability

  • Develop and maintain reusable scripts, queries and simple EUCs

  • Create and update periodic and ad‑hoc reports and dashboards (Power BI, Excel)

  • Support ad‑hoc analyses by preparing data and helping interpret results

  • Monitor data quality and support issue resolution together with stakeholders

  • Prepare basic technical documentation and user guidance for developed solutions

  • Collaborate with OPS experts, Data Management, IT and automation teams on reporting and data initiatives.

What you bring to the team

  • Strong interest in data, automation and analytics

  • Good knowledge of Python, SQL, VBA or C#

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and learn quickly

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem‑solving skills

  • Team player, open to collaboration and feedback

  • Internship or previous experience in data/analytics/robotics is a plus

  • Good Excel skills, Power BI is a plus

  • English – advanced level.
