The Mission

As a technology-enabled and digital-led bank, data is at the heart of everything we do. It powers how we measure risk, assess performance, and make decisions. To ensure we unlock the full value of our data, we must guarantee its completeness, accuracy, auditability, traceability, and protection. The Global Data organization serves as the first line of defense in securing robust data chains, working in close collaboration with all functions, business lines, and countries across the Bank.

The Global Chief Data Office (CDO) plays a pivotal role in this mission. As a central organizational unit, the CDO partners with stakeholders across the enterprise to enable frictionless customer journeys, support ESG-driven innovation, and deliver data products that enhance decision-making. With emerging trends such as digital wallets on the horizon and increasing regulatory expectations around data governance, the CDO is evolving to meet these challenges head-on, ensuring our data remains both a strategic asset and a safeguarded resource.

Under the leadership of the Wholesale Banking CDO, the WB Data Delivery Tribe focuses on the end-to-end transformation work for wholesale banking data flows, data delivery for the strategic WB delivery agenda and data products in the WB bank (in line with Bank on a Page concept), WB Global Regulatory Reporting in addition to the run activities for existing data flows and deliveries.

The Opportunity

As Product Lead – Wholesale Banking Financial Markets, you will own the vision and delivery of WB Financial Markets data products. Your role combines product leadership with hierarchical management of squads ensuring that global priorities are followed and the delivery is executed through steering on the teams from business line, tech, and local teams.

Your role is to ensure that data products meet business needs, comply with governance standards, and enable trusted, scalable data solutions for regulatory reporting, risk management, and client services.

Your day to day

As a Product Lead – Financial Markets, you:

• Define and continuously evolve the data product vision and roadmap to support WB’s strategic priorities and regulatory obligations.

• Prioritize and manage the product backlog across functional and non‑functional requirements, balancing change and stability.

• Ensure end‑to‑end delivery and reliable operations of WB Data Lake assets and downstream products

• Align with Tribe leadership, WB business stakeholders, and global data management teams to deliver integrated data capabilities

• Set standards for data delivery, data models and technical data capabilities within your product, ensure compliance with relevant regulation and internal/external requirements

• Lead and develop people, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, ownership and professional growth

• Work closely with Tech to ensure solutions are scalable, robust and fit for purpose

• Collaborate with other Product Leads to ensure alignment, reuse and consistency across the Data Tribe

• Demonstrated solid project management abilities to ensure initiatives are delivered efficiently and successfully

• Have in-depth knowledge of data delivery processes, including familiarity with end-to-end data delivery

• Are experienced in conceptualizing and developing Data Products, along with practical involvement in data delivery

• Promote the vision for the new way of working through VISTA, including vision for leveraging AI and cloud technologies

• Be tech‑savvy, anticipating and leveraging innovations in data platforms and automation.
