A day in the life of a FM CEM Inten

  • Support the team in managing and analysing collateral positions across ING’s derivatives portfolios, ensuring accurate reporting and a clear understanding of key drivers and movements.
  • Assist in evaluating the funding implications of derivative transactions, helping to improve cost transparency and support decision-making.
  • Contribute to strategic projects such as CollVA, gaining exposure to real-world applications of funding and collateral optimisation.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop tools and dashboards that enhance the visibility, accuracy, and efficiency of funding, collateral, and liquidity metrics.
  • Engage with market and regulatory developments to understand their impact on ING’s collateral and funding strategies, supporting the bank’s ability to stay a step ahead.

The team

As an intern in ING’s FM CEM team, you’ll join a dynamic group responsible for managing and optimising funding, liquidity, and collateral across ING’s global derivatives portfolio. The team focuses on hedging, strategic optimisation, and P&L impact, with initiatives like CollVA and the broader XVA framework playing a central role. You’ll gain exposure to real-time decision-making and financial markets, while building technical and analytical skills through projects that have a meaningful impact at ING.
