INTERNSHIP - Finance Controller

ING Solutions Investment Management (ISIM) is looking for a Finance Controller Trainee starting from July 2026 (ideally mid-June) and for a period of 6 months.

Please note that only students who can provide a valid internship agreement (school convention) will be considered.

ISIM is a subsidiary of ING Belgium (32%) and ING Luxembourg (68%). ISIM benefits from the status of a “Super ManCo” as it has received licenses to manage both UCITS and Alternative Investment Fund (AIF). ISIM currently oversees Investment Funds distributed by different Group-entities: ING Belgium, ING Luxembourg, ING The Netherlands, ING Germany, ING Spain, ING Italy and ING Poland.

ISIM is the Management Company of ING Group and is pursuing its development as a key tool for Investment Fund solutions within ING Group.

It currently has over 35 employees divided into several teams.

Your Missions

As a Finance Controller Trainee, you will contribute to the controls performed by the Finance function.

You will be asked to assist the team with various tasks, such as:

• Review of the funds’ invoices from Central Administration(s) and Custodian Bank(s)
• Review of the Fund expenses and the related calculation of ongoing charges
• Coordination of invoice processing for ISIM and the funds under management
• Day-to-day monitoring of the invoicing mailbox
• Payment reconciliation between accounting records and bank statements
• Participation in the periodic meetings with delegates
• Review of ISIM draft yearly financial statements, quarterly regulatory reporting and other Fund reporting
• Preparation of the Board meetings slides deck of ISIM and the funds

Given the size of the team, the Finance Controller Trainee will also provide support in various other operational tasks, whenever needed.

Your profile

Knowledge and experience

• Study in Economics / Finance
• Good knowledge of Word and Excel

Skills

• Flexible and eager to learn
• Team player 
• Fluency in French and English, knowledge of other languages being considered as an asset.
