Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Expert Lead to join our Client Tax Services Team of Financial Crime Prevention.

The responsibility of this team is to ensure end-to-end tax compliance for clients, especially in the Brokerage and investment products domain—from the correct capture and maintenance of client tax attributes (tax residency, W-8/W-9, CRS/FATCA, etc.) to execution, reporting, and ongoing management of associated tax obligations.

Your key responsibilities:

As a Tax Services Expert Client Lead, you will:

• Define and lead the Client Tax Services (CTS) function in Spain, aligned with the Group model and fully integrated within KYC, ensuring end-to-end ownership of client taxation (from onboarding to filing and in-life management).
• Design and implement a scalable operating model for client tax services, with a strong focus on Brokerage and investment products, ensuring accurate capture, maintenance, and usage of client tax data.
• Act as the single point of coordination for client taxation, connecting business, KYC, technology, and corporate functions.
• Own the full tax reporting lifecycle:
  • Define and maintain the tax reporting catalogue
  • Design and document end-to-end processes
  • Collect, validate, and consolidate data
  • Submit filings to the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) and manage incidents (notifications, claims, refunds)
• Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, including CRS, FATCA, WHT, Double Tax Relief, and other taxes applicable to investment clients.
• Establish and maintain a robust Tax Control Framework, including internal controls, reporting, segregation of duties, and audit traceability.
• Lead risk management through KPIs, monitoring quality, timelines, operational incidents, and defect rates.
• Drive technology and data integration, working with internal systems, tax engines, and external providers to ensure efficiency and data quality.
• Lead audits and regulatory interactions, ensuring complete, accurate, and traceable evidence.
• Act as a strategic advisor to the business, anticipating regulatory impacts on new products, client segments, and the evolution of Brokerage.
• Drive transformation and continuous improvement, including digitalization initiatives and the use of AI in tax processes.

• 5–8 years of experience in banking taxation focused on investment clients/Brokerage and tax reporting.
• Proven experience leading teams or building functions from scratch, with strong end-to-end ownership.
• Hands-on experience with AEAT tax models and related processes.
• Strong knowledge of international taxation, including WHT, Double Tax Relief, CRS/FATCA, FTT, and Stamp Duty.
• Experience in regulated environments, interacting with auditors, regulators, and external advisors.
• Strong data and technology capabilities, including BI tools, tax engines, and system integrations.
• Analytical mindset with a strong focus on data quality.
• Transformation mindset, including the ability to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Being a role model for the Orange code:

• Languages: Native Spanish and advanced English.

• Definir y liderar la función de Client Tax Services (CTS) en España, alineada con el modelo de Grupo y plenamente integrada dentro de KYC, asegurando la responsabilidad end-to-end de la fiscalidad de clientes (desde onboarding hasta filing y gestión durante el ciclo de vida).
• Diseñar e implementar un modelo operativo escalable para los servicios fiscales de clientes, con un fuerte foco en Brokerage y productos de inversión, garantizando una captura, mantenimiento y uso precisos de los datos fiscales de clientes.
• Actuar como punto único de coordinación para la fiscalidad de clientes, conectando negocio, KYC, tecnología y funciones corporativas.
• Liderar el ciclo completo de tax reporting:
o Definir y mantener el catálogo de reporting fiscal
o Diseñar y documentar procesos end-to-end
o Recopilar, validar y consolidar datos
o Presentar declaraciones a la Agencia Tributaria (AEAT) y gestionar incidencias (notificaciones, reclamaciones, devoluciones)
• Garantizar el cumplimiento de la normativa fiscal local e internacional, incluyendo CRS, FATCA, WHT, Double Tax Relief y otros impuestos aplicables a clientes de inversión.
• Establecer y mantener un sólido Tax Control Framework, incluyendo controles internos, reporting, segregación de funciones y trazabilidad de auditoría.
• Liderar la gestión de riesgos mediante KPIs, monitorizando calidad, plazos, incidentes operativos y tasas de defectos.
• Impulsar la integración tecnológica y de datos, trabajando con sistemas internos, tax engines y proveedores externos para garantizar eficiencia y calidad de datos.
• Liderar auditorías e interacciones regulatorias, garantizando evidencia completa, precisa y trazable.
• Actuar como asesoría estratégica para el negocio, anticipando el impacto regulatorio en nuevos productos, segmentos de clientes y la evolución del Brokerage.
• Impulsar la transformación y la mejora continua, incluyendo iniciativas de digitalización y el uso de IA en procesos fiscales.

• 5–8 años de experiencia en fiscalidad bancaria enfocada a clientes de inversión/Brokerage y reporting fiscal.
• Experiencia demostrable liderando equipos o construyendo funciones desde cero, con una sólida responsabilidad end-to-end.
• Experiencia práctica con modelos fiscales de la AEAT y procesos asociados.
• Sólido conocimiento de fiscalidad internacional, incluyendo WHT, Double Tax Relief, CRS/FATCA, FTT y Stamp Duty.
• Experiencia en entornos regulados, interactuando con auditoría, reguladores y asesoría externa.
• Fuertes capacidades en datos y tecnología, incluyendo herramientas de BI, tax engines e integraciones de sistemas.
• Mentalidad analítica con fuerte foco en la calidad de datos.
• Mentalidad de transformación, incluyendo la capacidad de aprovechar herramientas de IA para mejorar eficiencia y calidad.
• Ser un/a referente del Orange code:
o Ownership y delivery (“make it happen”)
o Colaboración cross-functional
o Proactividad y capacidad de anticiparse a cambios regulatorios
• Idiomas: español nativo e inglés avanzado.
