Expert Lead for Communications Team

Purpose of the Role

At ING Hubs Slovakia, people are at the center of everything what we do. As Expert Lead of the Communication Team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a communication strategy that drives engagement and understanding of who we are across internal and external audiences.

You will lead a team of communication professionals and act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, ensuring that ING Hubs Slovakia is recognized as one of most attractive employer brands out there. Your scope and scope of your team will span Internal and external communications, Employer branding, Media relations and issue management, and Communication as a service.

As an Expert lead, you are also an Expert in the field and responsible to develop the craftsmanship of your team and take part in day to day activities in part of your capacity (as Senior Communication Officer) as stated under key responsibilities. You will be a point of contact for the key stakeholders within ING Hubs Slovakia Management team and also for global leadership of ING Communications function.

Key Responsibilities

1. Internal & External Communication

  • You will develop and maintain internal communication frameworks and channels (newsletters, intranet, emails, Vlogs) and keep innovating them regularly based on the communication strategy.
  • You will lead initiatives to ensure strategic and inspiring leadership communications across all domains (e.g., videos, social media and meetings).
  • You will coordinate internal news dissemination and employee engagement programs (e.g., Townhalls, Q&A sessions, Recognition events, Employee guilds).
  • You will support change communication planning and execution for major organizational shifts.
  • You will coordinate content creation content for stakeholder visits and strategic events (e.g., powerpoints, videos, coffee & connect sessions).
  • You will ensure proper organization of internal and external events (e.g., Summer/Winter parties, Spotlight weeks, Wellbeing Days).
  • You will oversee merch management (design, ordering, storage, distribution).

2. Employer Branding & Media Relations

  • You will define and implement long-term strategic plans for employer brand positioning. You will identify opportunities for brand innovation and align partnership strategies with brand direction.
  • You will activate employer branding campaigns locally, including creative work and production.
  • You will, together with your team, manage social media editorial calendars and community engagement to achieve results in line with the long term strategic plans and brand positioning targets.

  • You will ensure development and maintenance of all external touchpoints (e.g., careers pages, Profesia, Google Maps).
  • You will support campus recruitment events and Orange Drums ambassador program.
  • You will execute brand partnership strategies with media, influencers, and podcasts.

3. Issue Management & Reputation

  • You will safeguard ING’s reputation through effective issue resolution and media engagement.
  • You will prepare and manage crisis communication plans of ING Hubs Slovakia for potential crises for employees (in close cooperation with Media relations)
  • You will ensure consistent messaging and transparency during emergencies or sensitive situations.

4. Communication as a Service

  • You will lead the development and execution of communication services for internal stakeholders supporting internal communication efforts of other units within ING network, outside of Slovakia.
  • You will manage capacity and craft development to deliver services aligned with stakeholder expectations.
  • You will govern communication intake processes and adherence to brand identity standards.

What You Bring

Experience & Skills

  • At least 7 years in communications, marketing, or employer branding, preferably in multinational environments.
  • Proven leadership experience with leading small-medium sized team
  • Strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
  • Expertise in communication tools, digital marketing, and data visualization.

Education & Languages

  • University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
  • Fluent in English (C1);

Wage (gross) 3.315 EUR/month

  • *By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
