Financial Markets Client Control (FMCC) is a department within Financial Markets (FM) Business Services (part of ING Wholesale Banking). The department consists of a Centre of Excellence (COE) in Amsterdam and two execution locations in ING Hubs Bratislava and Manila that provide services to 30 countries worldwide. The aim of these services is to ensure control throughout the client and counterparty life cycle (from on-boarding to exit and all processes in between) for FM and Group Treasury (GT). FMCC works using ING’s One Agile Way of Working principles.

Job Description

Mono Product Client (MPC) team is responsible in ensuring all ING Financial Markets business activities are at all times compliant with internal policies and external regulations.

As part of the team:

  • You are expected to have keen knowledge of financial products, processes and regulations.
  • You are able to identify exceptions and address issues independently.
  • You are a fast-paced individual who can adapt to ever-changing regulations.
  • You have the ability to conduct decision-making in accordance with ING’ Agile Way of Working and with the ING’s orange code.

Financial Markets Client Control plays a major role in communication and became one of ING’s central contact points for FM Sales, Global Treasury, and Front Office desks.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Handle the initial phase of client onboarding and assist FM salespersons in initiating Know Your Clients (KYC) Forms (CDD, FATCA, CRS, etc).
  • Monitor the completion of KYC requirements and client onboarding resulting for the deal capture codes to be created and for trading to be initiated.
  • Analyze entities that can be offboarded depending on FM trading activity of the client through the use of different FM Trading Systems such as Summit and Murex.
  • Handle ad hoc queries and investigation from relationship managers relating to their respective clients.
  • Facilitate the changes in static data to ensure that client information are up to date.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly KYC reports to highlight entities that need to be remediated and that will be offboarded.
  • Locate and define process improvement opportunities and effectively communicate status and progress to CoE.
  • Assist in implementation of new requirements.
  • Responsible for continuous update of knowledge assets such as Logbook and WPIs.
  • Responsible to apply Agile Way of Working in discussing “first time right” and problems encountered within the team and propose effective solution.
  • Collaborate closely with CoE/process manager to achieve BAU success.
  • Perform daily and monthly quality checks and reports.
  • Proactively engage in the team stand-ups and huddle.

We are looking for

 A professional, mature individual who demonstrates the following:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to disseminate continuous regulatory changes and information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and take into account the underlying issues and focus on the know-why, rather than know-how.
  • Strong understanding of Financial Markets and its products to be able to understand business and regulatory requirement.
  • Ability to cooperate and discuss issues with CoE and stakeholders to reach team’s objectives.

Competencies and experience:

  • Working experience in the financial (markets) sector.
  • Knowledge of Financial Markets products and trade lifecycle is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in KYC and regulatory requirements.
  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written), with experience in an international environment.
  • Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint.

Wage (gross)

  • 1 700 EUR/month
  • *By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
