General information:

The Local Sector Department (LCD) is responsible for the commercial performance of Polish corporate clients managed by Sectors in Poland. The LCD Head leads the local sector strategy, manages P&L, risk/return, and senior client relationships. The role reports hierarchically to the Head of Sectors Poland and functionally to the Regional NSC Head.

Your responsibilities

  • you will be responsible for developing and executing the LCD strategy in Poland, aligned with ING WB & Sectors global strategy 
  • you will manage the country P&L, including revenues and economic income, ensuring performance within ING’s risk appetite you will build and maintain senior-level relationships with Polish corporate clients, acting as a trusted advisor and driving commercial engagement you will identify growth opportunities and differentiate ING’s sector value proposition from competitors you will coordinate the implementation of the sector strategy with regional Sector Heads, functional leads, and stakeholders across Risk and Products 
  • you will lead the Dynamic Plan process, focusing on profitable growth and long-term planning 
  • you will collaborate with team heads to improve profitability, returns, and cross-buy opportunities 
  • you will represent ING externally, providing thought leadership and positioning ING’s value proposition in the market 
  • you will ensure full KYC compliance for PAM & LAM segmented clients and operate under ING’s regulatory and risk guidelines 
  • you will foster a strong risk culture and ensure sector performance is aligned with compliance standards you will attract, develop, and retain talent, building high-performing teams and supporting the HR agenda of local sector teams 
  • you will lead cross-sector topics (e.g. capital velocity impact), promote knowledge sharing, and ensure consistency in cross-sector processes (e.g. segmentation)

Our requirements

  • you have higher education (HBO) or university degree (Bachelor or Master), preferably in Economics, Accounting or Finance
  • you have 15–20 years of experience in the financial industry
  • you have a proven track record in leading end-to-end organizations and managing complex stakeholder environments
  • you have strong commercial acumen and execution capabilities
  • you have extensive experience in deal-making, market knowledge, and winning new business
  • you have solid understanding of regulatory requirements and financial/non-financial risks
  • you are familiar with KYC-related processes and operate within ING’s compliance standards
  • you are comfortable managing time-sensitive projects with multiple stakeholders
  • you speak English fluently (minimum B2 level)
  • you are experienced in working with international companies
  • Corporate Finance or Investment Banking experience is preferred

Nice to have

  • experience working with Polish corporate clients in a multinational banking environment
  • ability to lead cross-sector topics and support HR agendas within sector teams
  • ability to challenge and reconcile cluster strategy plans to drive differentiation of ING’s sector proposition
