International Talent Programme (ITP)

ING International Talent Programme (ITP) is an initiative that develops talented graduates in strategic areas of ING. It is two years of diverse rotations, training and experiences, each designed for your individual development.

The programme is implemented in 9 tracks: Wholesale Banking, Retail Banking, Business Banking, IT, Finance, Risk, HR, Operations & Change and Analytics.

The ITP programme is for you if:

  • you are a graduate of bachelor's or master's studies, and you are actively involved in student organisations and groups,
  • your professional experience is less than 2 years,
  • you are fluent in English,
  • you take it on and make it happen,
  • you are always one step ahead,
  • you help others to be successful.

Rotations and trainings:

It is hard to know what you like until you try it. That is why you will rotate between different projects and departments within given business area. During the two-year internship, you will work in at least three different teams; three rotations (of six months) in different teams and afterwards you will start your permanent role. To ensure that you gain a solid understanding of our core business, you will attend training courses related to banking and financial services. You will obtain internationally recognised certifications related to your areas of expertise, which will benefit your career within ING and beyond.

Second rotation - international assignment:

For your second rotation, if circumstances allow, you can choose to go abroad to one of 20 countries in which ING operates. You will choose the project with your talent manager as part of your development plan. Working internationally provides many valuable experiences, both personal and professional.

Third rotation - the last one before takin up a permanent position:

You are in charge here! Your trainee manager will help you decide: will this last rotation be aimed at deepening your knowledge within your track or will you decide to rotate within a different track?

Local and global events:

You will participate in two global events with other ING trainees from around the world. This is where you will meet the other members of your year group: more than 100 international trainees who started at ING in the same year as you. It is a truly inspiring experience. You will learn a lot about ING’s strategy, products, and challenges. Moreover, you will immerse yourself in the products, services and markets that are relevant for your work. Also, we offer you Virtual Trainee Days. They take place twice a year, with the goal to learn about ING and work on your personal development. From day one, your internship is all about learning, developing and performing, but it is also great fun.

In the case of a positive decision, we will call you and make you a job offer. In the case of a negative decision, you will receive feedback from us by email.

I joined ITP in October 2024 and from the very beginning I have been involved in various projects which challenge me to get to know the organizational structure, people from different departments, and find my own way of working. A great benefit of ITP is that I can explore not only ING Hubs Poland but also ING banks worldwide through several rotations which will give me a deeper understanding of the ING Group. I also participate in activities such as workshops on soft skills, and volunteering work that give me a chance to develop personally.
