About the position:

ING is looking for a trader with at least 5+ years of asset and liability management and fixed income repo trading experience to work within the Global Securities Finance (GSF) team.

About the department:

As part of the fixed income trading team the successful candidate will be responsible for managing liquidity trading with asset managers, hedge funds, investment management, and custodial bank client base.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience and technical knowledge in fixed income repo, as well as money markets.
  • Manage liquidity and funding for GSF team along with the various desks within Financial Markets.
  • Collaborate with GSF and various internal stakeholders on risk metrics LCR, VaR and RWA.
  • Manage and trade a repo book and has a track record of strong YoY revenue growth
  • Produce ad hoc reporting for senior management on trade and liquidity positioning. 

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Undergraduate finance, engineering, business or similar field degree, MBA preferable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Bloomberg, DTC, and Global One.
  • Quantitative programming / Python knowledge preferable
  • Manage client relationships; engage clients around their liquidity needs and structure transactions to optimize ING’s liquidity position and help customers enhance theirs
  • Generate two-way order flow to internalize ING’s assets and liabilities to create operational efficienciesAttend client industry events and seminars to market ING’s brand in repo prod

Close cooperation with the Financial Markets Institutional Sales team and sector coverage to grow ING’s market share. 

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with multiple trading desks on liquidity needs.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of securities lending and repo settlement processes. 
  • Knowledge of derivatives market and their use in hedging risk.
  • An understanding of balance sheet management and practical experience managing risk metrics like LCR and VaR.
  • Series 7 and 63 required, Series 24 a plus.

Base Salary Range:  $200K - $250K
