Financial Markets Client Control (FMCC) is a department within Financial Markets (FM) Business Services (part of ING Wholesale Banking). The department consists of a Centre of Excellence (COE) in Amsterdam and two execution locations in ING Hubs Bratislava and Manila that provide services to 30 countries worldwide. The aim of these services is to ensure control throughout the client and counterparty life cycle (from on-boarding to exit and all processes in between) for FM and Group Treasury (GT). FMCC works using ING’s One Agile Way Of Working principles.

Financial Markets Client Control teams consist of self-steering teams for an individual with strong attention to detail, enjoying communication, and coming up with own improvement’s idea.

As a Financial Markets Client Control Executive:

  • You maintain contact with Financial Market and Global Treasury Front Office desks via email and MS Teams channels and coordinate the offboarding process and post-trade monitoring for clients actively trading on Financial Markets or with Global Treasury desks
  • You are the primary contact for the global front office locations, Sales locations, ING Hubs locations, and other back-office teams (e.g., Compliance, KYC, Business management)
  • Hold responsibility for onboarding of clients, and its compliancy with legal and regulatory requirements (MiFID, EMIR, and SFTR), aiming for FM business continuity and company risk mitigation
  • You cooperate with stakeholders and keep them informed about the progress of their request
  • You participate in FM related projects related to innovations and changes in a very dynamic environment
  • You assist Sales, Front Office desks and identify their needs, and detect potential technical and/ or functional issues in Financial Markets client control area applying the experience and knowledge to diagnose; prioritize, advise, and resolve cases


Financial Markets Client Control plays a major role in communication and became one of ING’s central contact points for FM Sales, Global Treasury, and Front Office desks.

Main roles and responsibilities:

As Financial Markets Client Control Executive:

  • You manage daily operations related to Client Control mechanism, Post Trade Monitoring, Inactivation/ Closure/ Name Change requests for FM and GT clients
  • You govern the cooperation with stakeholders connected with client outreach communication
  • You focus on existing client portfolio and its compliancy with legal and regulatory requirements including CDD, MiFID, LEI, ESR, EMIR, SFTR and Dodd Frank, aiming for FM business continuity and company risk mitigation
  • You come up with improvement ideas and drive their implementation

Focus areas

As Financial Markets Client Control Executive, you are the gatekeeper for checking FM requirements on the client compliancy for trading (e.g., KYC, MiFID, EMIR, SFTR, Dodd Frank, etc.) and govern the client maintenance administrative process.
As Financial Markets Client Control Executive, you:

  • Are the first point of contact for Sales and Front Office desks and
  • Pro-actively manage communication with Front Office and Stakeholders

Competencies and experience:

  • Previous experience with MiFID, EMIR, SFTR, Dodd Frank or other financial regulations is a big advantage
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) and experienced in working in an international environment
  • Experienced in communication with the clients
  • Skilled in Excel
  • Presentation skills

Wage (gross)1.700 EUR/month

*By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
