Our Customer Operations Department is a supportive and dynamic team delivering innovative financial lending products which are at the forefront of digital banking in Australia.

Our Credit Assessors are honest, prudent, and responsible because they play a critical role in our lending businesses. In this role, you'll assess credit and loan applications or variations for residential mortgages and help our customers achieve their financial goals. You’ll be in your element in this role if your ideal day includes providing outstanding customer service to Customers and Brokers by assessing loans on a first time correct basis.

We're open to candidates with experience in PAYG, self-employed or both.

These are permanent positions that can be based in Sydney or Wyong.

What you’ll do

  • Assess PAYG applications and progress to self-employed in residential loan products.
  • Review credit and risk assessments for loan/credit applications or variations within an allocated Delegated Lending Authority.
  • Specialise in credit/risk analysis, customer segmentation, conveyancing, and banking processes.
  • Uphold ING policies and procedures (including ING’s underwriting guidelines, compliance, and risk) to avoid unacceptable operational risk.
  • Apply superb detail and attention to all transactions to consistently meet KPI’s and quality indicators such as ‘Moments of Truth.’
  • Operate within the ING service delivery guidelines to ensure that all credit applications are completed within the deadlines as set to meet optimal business outcomes.

What we’re looking for

  • Previously held a Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) of at least $1m in a Residential Loan Approval setting (essential).
  • Excellent coordination collaboration and communication skills to confidently liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian lending practices including policy, valuations, mortgage insurance, procedures, and Australian banking regulatory requirements.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical analysis aptitude.
  • Recent localised experience in the finance industry in residential mortgages assessment.

What’s in it for you?

  • Drop everything and learn with over 16,000 professional and personal development courses to choose from.
  • Discounted ING Health Insurance.
  • An additional Rest Day to support your wellbeing.
  • An IMPACT Day to volunteer on approved sustainability activity.
