The Office of the CIO (OCIO) is a multi-disciplinary team that drives operational excellence by consistently communicating, planning, monitoring and evaluating performance for Technology for ING Australia.

Reporting to the Commercial contract manager you’ll be responsible for driving the technology procurement activities to deliver value, associated risk and governance activities. You will also involve optimizing the technology contracting landscape to ensure a healthier and more efficient ecosystem.

What you’ll do …

  • Support procurement activities including vendor selection, onboarding, contract negotiation and execution to enable the Technology team to deliver strategic value.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor contract performance, manage renewals, mitigate risks, and remediate contracts where applicable.

  • Support the Technology team in conducting risk and governance activities related to procurement, including DORA compliance, risk assessments, business impact assessments, exit strategies, and more.

  • Provide financial insights related to contract terms, budgeting, and cost optimization.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in contract management systems to enhance operational efficiency.

What we’re looking for…

  • Experience in procurement in banking or financial institution and contract management, ideally within technology department in a commercial environment.

  • Understanding of commercial contracts, familiar with contract lifecycle management and governance frameworks.

  • High attention to details with ability to identify risks and inconsistencies in contracts

  • Basic understanding of risk management, financial principles and ability to interpret financial data in a contract context.

  • Strategic thinking capability with strong commercial acumen

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Business, Law, IT or related fields (or equivalent experience)

  • A collaborative mindset and desire to learn in a dynamic, goal-oriented environment
