A day in the life of a Chapter Lead

  • You combine leading a team and delivery.
  • You actively coach and encourage +/-  15 chapter members to develop themselves. You help them being successful in their day to day. You hire new talent. The scope of the chapter is twofold. First it is linked to the IT quality assurance of KYC BE assets before it goes to Production. Second it is linked to ensure the KYC BE assets reach proper IT risk compliancy, reliability targets, and incident handling.
  • From a delivery point of view, you will be assigned to a KYC squad as a DEVOPS engineer in which requirements elicitations and clarifications skills can be a big asset.
  • You manage outsourcing contracts in context of your scope.

  • You actively coach and encourage your chapter members to develop themselves. You hire new talent.
  • You define the standards of work, and you continuously improve them.  You foster active knowledge sharing within the chapter.
  • Past experience as OPS engineer and/or Test engineer can be an asset as it will help the understanding the D2D job of your chapter members
  • Experience in the following technology/methodology : Black Box testing, Defect Management, Postman, Azure DEVOPS (pipeline and test plan), ELK Stack.
  • You facilitate interactions between Tech part and business part of the tribe.
  • You take the lead on cross-area challenges and help the IT domain to evolve.

As a Chapter Lead Stack Monitoring and QA in Analytics & KYC, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute actively to ING Belgium’s strategic goals and objectives daily.
  • Acquire and strengthen people management and leadership skills.

The team

  • We’re on a journey that’s centered around our customers and the KYC processes, powered by technology, and driven by smart, determined people. We are continuously improving the KYC processes of the bank. By this we are helping ING Belgium to be safe & compliant bank. We’re proud of that!
  • In a near future, we would like to find some synergies between KYC and Analytics engineers in order to bring it to a next level
  • The area consists of more than 60 engineers, located in Brussels and India.
