A day in the life of a ORM Specialist

• Challenge and advice the risk assessments results and support the business in the execution of the strategy by securing the baseline to maintain our license to operate

• Conduct research using primary (risk) data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.

• Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project and run organization - escalating where appropriate. Where necessary, develop, agree on, and implement solutions to overcome these.

• Review, challenge, advise and approve the closure of operational events and issues reported by business.

• Oversee and objectively challenge any actions that may give rise to operational risk and escalate if necessary.

• You have a risk-first and data-driven mindset and are comfortable providing credible challenge at various levels of the organization including vis a vis the Heads and Tribe Leads of ING BE and their Management Teams

• You are an independent and critical thinking person, a problem solver who understands rules and makes them pragmatic and practical

• A real team player with excellent written and oral communication skills while interacting with many departments within the organization

• You anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders

• English is mandatory

The team

The team is made of 9 ORM specialists supporting all risks areas of the Bank, except for IT related topics.
