The Mission

Touchpoint Platform is part of ING’s “Think Forward” strategy to become a truly global bank, a key success factor for achieving a financial services platform that extends beyond banking. Through our platform, we provide a scalable foundation for platform business models and contribute to ING’s successful position in the new banking ecosystem.

The Engagement Suite product is a multi-channel communication gateway solution and capable of sending notifications via Mobile Push, Web Push, SMS and Email, all of it provided in an asynchronous and event-driven way.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automation for monitoring and optimizing systems – embracing self-service and autonomy;
  • Configure and deploy monitoring tools and scripts to ensure appropriate observability of the hosting platforms and resources;
  • Examine existing systems, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve service uptime and time-to-resolve through monitoring and automated remediation;
  • Plan and execute full software development life cycles (SDLC) for each assigned project, adhering to company standards and expectations;
  • Design and build tools and frameworks to automate development, testing deployment, management and monitoring of the company’s 24x7 services and products;
  • Incident management when acting as the standby/on call person and when other members of the team need help (optional);
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum way, on the backlog prioritized by a Product Owner;
  • Assess and address IT Risk issues that impact the product.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Experience: minim 3 years;
  • Tech stack/ knowledge:
    • Mandatory:
    • Experience with container orchestrations platform such as Kubernetes or OpenShift;
    • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery using tools such as, Maven, Azure DevOps and preferably GitHub Actions;
    • Good knowledge of at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby);
    • Experience with automated deploy on both container and non-container platforms;
    • Experience of well-known OSS monitoring tools (such as Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus) as well as dashboard creation.
    • Nice to have:
    • Basic knowledge of Scrum / Kanban and Agile methodologies;
    • Skilled in IT capacity planning and management, able to right size IT resource consumption to fit current and future needs of the product.
  • Foreign languages: English (advanced);
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field .
