Getting to know Tech

Tech is the engine behind ING’s digital banking experience for millions of customers.

It brings together engineering, data, and platform capabilities to build and run the systems behind everything from daily banking journeys to advanced AI solutions.

Working end-to-end with business teams, Tech plays a key role in shaping how banking works today—and how it evolves tomorrow.

In a fast-changing, digital-first market,you’llcontribute to building resilient, scalable, and innovative solutions used by millions of people every day.

As a Tech trainee,you’llbe at the heart of this transformation - taking ownership, collaborating across teams, and turning ideas into real impact from day one.

What you bring to the team

  • Master studies or degree from top universities (Business Studies, Economics, Mathematics, Marketing, Finance) with excellent study results.

  • Maximum 2 working years’ experience.

  • English Proficiency.

  • Leadership or volunteering activities.

  • International experience is an advantage.

  • Understanding & views on economic landscape & banking industry.

  • Endless Curiosity: You ask questions,seek outanswers, and dive deepto understandhow things work.

  • You think critically, connect the dots& bringpractical thinking to the table.

  • Growth mindset:You'renot afraid to fail, seekfeedbackand opportunities to improve.

Whatwe offer

  • Global events.Access to yearly 2-3 weeks global events with other ING International TalentProgrammetalents from all around the world (you willmainly bein Bucharest in the first 18 months).

  • Job rotations. Insights in various business units during the first18 monthsand work abroad into one of our ING countries for 3 - 6 months(if circumstances allow).

  • International onboarding.Following your local onboarding introduction, you will fly to our headquarters in Amsterdam for a two week-long international onboarding event (if circumstances allow).

  • Trainings& learning experiencesin different business lines to boost your knowledge and skill set.

  • Mentoring.Experienced ING executives will support your personal and professional development through regular feedback and coaching.

  • Specializedjob.After18 monthsof job rotations, you willstart inyour first dedicated assignment in Tech.
