What if your data expertise could help protect millions of customers while making banking simpler and safer? At ING, we're looking for a Data Modeling Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team and help drive global solutions that combat financial crime.

 In this role, you'll work on initiatives spanning Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF), sanctions, fraud prevention, and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes. Your work will support global implementation across more than 20 countries and contribute to protecting over 36 million ING customers.

Role Summary

As a Business Analyst, you will help analyze the appropriate data retention requirements from +20 countries and different systems of records interfaced within the Global KYC space and will aid in the implementation of these rules through the development and delivery of an internal orchestrator tool. You are also expected to communicate in the appropriate level with relevant business/technical stakeholders from these countries.

You will also support the definition and follow up on the milestones of the data retention roadmaps for these countries and systems in line with the global retention policies followed by ING.

About the Team

You will join the Data & Analytics team supporting ING's Global Financial Crime Prevention initiatives. The team is responsible for creating and enhancing data-driven solutions that help prevent money laundering, terrorism financing, fraud, and sanctions breaches across ING's global network. Working in an international and Agile environment, you'll partner with colleagues from different countries, disciplines, and business functions to improve customer experiences while maintaining effective risk control and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills

We're looking for someone who brings a combination of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills:

  • You have a minimum bachelor’s degree (IT, Engineering, Maths or Economics/Business);
  • You have a minimum of 3+ years of working experience in IT process and/or software development / implementation (Consulting experience is a big plus);
  • You have participated in realizing regulatory/processes changes and translating regulatory
  • requirements into functional designs and/or processes (experience within the areas of Financial
  • Economic Crime, Anti Money Laundering or Compliance is a plus);

  • You are articulate – fluent in English (speaking and writing)

  • You are familiar with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and has basic knowledge on JAVA, API and / or Kafka notifications.
  • You have experience with data management (data flows, data analysis, data integration, data quality, data governance)
