IT Risk Analyst

As an IT Risk Analyst, you'll join our Retail Tech IT Risk Team, where you'll help ensure that technology risks are effectively managed and that key controls remain compliant, resilient, and fit for purpose.

You will work closely with technology teams, auditors, risk specialists, and security professionals to implement and validate IT controls, support risk assessments, and help drive compliance with ING's IT policies and standards.

This role is ideal for professionals with experience in IT Risk, IT Audit, Risk Management, or Information Technology, including those looking to transition from a broader IT role into a specialized career in IT Risk.

What You'll Do

• Interpret and apply ING's IT Risk policies, standards, and control requirements across technology teams
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and testing of IT controls
• Perform and coordinate Test of Design (ToD) and Test of Operational Effectiveness (ToE) activities
• Work closely with Information & Operational Risk, Audit, Security, and Technology teams
• Assist teams in maintaining compliance with evolving governance and control requirements
• Track and monitor risk issues, remediation activities, and control improvements
• Maintain dashboards and reporting tools used for risk monitoring and management reporting
• Support Detailed Risk Assessments and Business Impact Analysis activities
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across business and technology teams
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and risk awareness

What We're Looking For

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accountancy, Business Management, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in IT Risk, IT Audit, Information Technology, or Risk Management
• Understanding of IT Governance principles and activities
• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Change Management processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative and multicultural environment
• A proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability

Nice to Have

• Exposure to security monitoring, patch management, or operational resilience
• Experience working within a regulated environment
• Familiarity with compliance, internal controls, or audit programs
• Experience supporting risk assessments and control testing activities
• Interest in developing a long-term career in Technology Risk, Governance, or Audit
