Key Control Tester

As a Control Hub Key Controls Tester, you'll play a vital role in helping ING maintain a strong control environment by testing the effectiveness of critical controls across our global operations. Role Summary

As part of the Control Hub Manila, you will perform key controls testing on behalf of First Line Management across ING globally. You will assess the design and operating effectiveness of key controls across financial, operational, regulatory, and compliance processes, helping ensure adherence to internal standards and regulatory requirements. You will work with stakeholders from different countries and contribute directly to strengthening ING's risk management framework.

About the Team

The Control Hub Manila team performs key controls testing across ING's global organization. Working within a Key Control Testing (KCT) Circle, you'll collaborate with fellow testers, service delivery leads, control owners, and business stakeholders to evaluate controls, identify risks, and recommend improvements. The team continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes and ways of working while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism.

Required Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone who can bring a combination of risk awareness, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills, including:

• Experience performing end-to-end key controls testing, including process walkthroughs, testing execution, documentation, and evaluation.
• Strong understanding of risk and controls concepts.
• Ability to independently navigate a complex organization and engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in internal audit, external audit, controls testing, risk management, or related disciplines.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage ambiguity effectively.
• Experience with banking processes, SOx, regulatory reporting, KYC, FATCA, financial controls, or related areas is beneficial.
• Familiarity with MS Office applications; knowledge of Power BI or Power Automate is an advantage.
• CIA or CPA certification is a plus.
