Business Development Manager – Residential Mortgages (VIC)

Presenta la candidatura

Join a bank that’s known for doing things differently. At ING, we’re committed to delivering simple, smart, and customer‑focused financial experiences—and our Third-Party Distribution team plays a critical role in bringing that promise to life.

As our Business Development Manager – Residential Mortgages (VIC), you’ll be the face of ING for our accredited mortgage broker network, driving growth across the Victorian market and championing an exceptional broker experience.

This is a high‑impact, relationship‑driven role where you’ll combine sales capability, market insight, and strong commercial judgement to expand our presence and strengthen our partnerships. You’ll work closely with brokers to maximise conversion, identify new opportunities, and ensure seamless end‑to‑end experiences, backed by collaboration with internal teams across credit, operations, and product.

If you're passionate about shaping better outcomes for brokers and customers—and you thrive in a fast‑paced environment where no two days look the same—this is your chance to join a high‑performing team and make a genuine impact.

What you’ll do

  • Build and grow strong partnerships with accredited mortgage brokers through proactive, face‑to‑face engagement and structured territory management.
  • Drive residential mortgage sales by training brokers on ING products, policies, and processes to improve quality, efficiency, and conversion.
  • Use insights, data and Salesforce activity to understand broker performance and identify opportunities to increase portfolio volume and broker activity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including Credit, Customer Operations, Sales Support, and the Mortgages Tribe—to deliver timely solutions and excellent broker experiences.
  • Represent ING at industry events, contribute to a high‑performance team culture, and ensure all activities meet compliance, risk, and audit requirements.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven credit knowledge and understanding of loan structures, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, sales or relationship management within residential mortgages or home lending.
  • Exceptional relationship‑building, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and work autonomously.
  • High levels of organisation, time management and resilience—comfortable balancing sales activity with administration and SLA expectations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred); RG146 or mortgage broking qualifications desirable.

What’s in it for you?

  • Discounted ING Health Insurance
  • An additional Rest Day to support your wellbeing
  • An IMPACT day to volunteer on approved sustainability activity
