Role

The Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Expert will be placed in the new Operational Design Control and Resilience - Business Continuity structure within the Chief Operating Officer department and will have the objective of supporting the team in the preparation and management of business continuity plans. This role offers a practical learning opportunity to understand how the bank prepares for and responds to operational disruptions / crisis situations. The Expert will support the Lead in the analysis, implementation, testing and improving of the Operational Resilience & Business Continuity of the bank and the overall compliance with policies and control standards.

Key Responsibilities

The expert in the Operational Resilience & Business Continuity (OpsRes&BC) is in charge of the following activities:

  • Support in organizing activities to regularly maintain and improve the Operational Resilience & Business Continuity framework and documents
  • Organize and drive periodic OpsRes&BC Risk Assessment identifying potential threats and coordinates the development of recommendations on implementing appropriate strategies to mitigate or minimize the threat of the potential risks
  • Organize periodic OpsRes&BC scope update aligned with the requirements coming from the business
  • Facilitate the overall coordination for planning, priority setting, and implementation of business continuity initiatives within the business
  • Support business teams in conducting periodical business impact analyses to assess and identify potential gaps
  • Assure plans are developed, documented and comply with applicable OpsRes&BC control standard
  • Initiate scenario updates adapting the OpsRes&BC to new threats
  • Set up and maintain OpsRes&BC requirements in the Group tooling
  • Support in the coordination and facilitation of the Crisis Management organization, including the preparation and execution of Crisis Committee and periodical scenario tests
  • Support in the coordination of regular tests to evaluate the effectiveness of continuity plans
  • Embed business requirements in Disaster Recovery strategy - test
  • Support in the coordination of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery reporting activities, versus local top management and Group reporting
  • Deep dive on processes and procedures on Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery/Crisis Management of third parties and intragroups
  • Train & awareness of internal staff and third parties
  • Prepare reports for management on the status and effectiveness of OpsRes&BC
