ING is looking for an excellent senior engineer, specialized in full stack development, to strengthen our squads responsible for the Global Digital Channels of ING Wholesale Banking Tech.

The team
You’ll be joining the Global Digital Channels team within ING Wholesale Banking Tech. Our mission is to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality digital solutions that empower our corporate clients worldwide. We work in a dynamic, international environment using agile methodologies and DevOps practices to continuously improve our services.

Roles and responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain both back-end APIs and front-end applications
• Develop new features to securely identify customers globally
• Ensure systems are highly available, secure, and scalable
• Contribute to continuous delivery and integration practices
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Mentor junior engineers within the team
• Support incident resolution during and occasionally outside office hours
• Identify and implement improvements across the entire software development lifecycle

Mandatory technical skills:
• 8+ years of Java development experience (Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle, RESTful APIs)
• 3+ years of front-end development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, npm)

Nice-to-have skills:
• Kotlin, Scala
• Kubernetes / OpenShift
• Oracle SQL, Kafka
• Web components, Lit
• Azure DevOps
• IT security and encryption knowledge

Other requirements:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in English
• Experience with distributed services in a DevOps environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
