The Mission

You will work in ING’s Open Banking and XS2A area - part of COO/Payment and Settlement Services - created to deliver ING’s Open Banking strategy. Open Banking evolves around Application Programming Interfaces (APIs): a way to easily open-up capabilities and share data. We believe it will help ING to accelerate innovation and collaboration with partners, clients and platforms to improve customer experiences and create new business models.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

• Understand business requirements;
• Understand and work with ING standard frameworks, tools and processes;
• Analyze, code, test and deliver stories according to ING standards, Team agreements and working best practices;
• Keep technical and risk documentation up to date;
• Provide support for consumers;
• Share knowledge with the other colleagues.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Experience: 5+ years of experience of java development (Java 17 and Java 21)

Tech stack/ knowledge:

Mandatory:

• Java SE 21+;
• Spring Framework & Spring Boot;
• REST API, Swagger;
• NoSQL (Cassandra) and SQL (Oracle, MSSQL, etc.);
• Kafka;
• Persistency frameworks (eg.JPA, Hibernate);
• Test automation;
• Strong delivery track record;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Romanian;
• Excellent team player in an international team, quality focused, service oriented, eager to learn;
• You arecuriousand understand the latest developments in the technical and financial services;
• You have a good understanding of banking in general, or you are passionate about learning it. You can discuss with your stakeholders and product owner about features and stories and can translate these into software with realbusiness value;
• You have strong problem solving and analytical thinking - ability to diagnose and resolve ambiguous problems;
• You have a good understanding ofSoftware Architecture;
• You have experience inContinuous Delivery.

Nice to have:

• OAuth2 is a plus;
• Frontend experience is a plus (JavaScript, web components);
• Experience working in an Agile environment, using Agile methodologies and related tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps Boards);
• Familiar with continuous integration & continuous delivery principles and tools (Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Azure DevOps);
• Nice to have cloud experience (Kubernetes/Openshift);
• Familiar with the DevOps concept;
• Experience in building applications from scratch is a plus.

​Foreign languages: English (advanced)

Education: University degree in Computer Science, Cybernetics or equivalent through experience (3 years +)
