Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Non-Financial Risk Specialist to join our Non-Financial Risk Team of ING Spain.

In the role of NFR Specialist, you will hierarchically report to the Head of NFR.

ING is restructuring its processes, controls, and infrastructure to transform itself into a Digital Bank with the goal of end-to-end “straight through processing”. Non-Financial Risk Management uses sound principles of risk management to ensure that everything related to operational risk is within the risk appetite of the Bank, maintaining the control environment at an acceptable level following a risk-based approach (proportionate to its value and criticality).

The NFR team performs oversight over the global NFR policies and best practice implementation within ING Spain and provides advice and challenge the risk/control owners on effectiveness of risk identification and mitigation. The team is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the ING Spain adherence to the NFR risk appetite and produces quarterly Non – financial risk dashboard (NFRD) report.

  • Internal and External Fraud

Your key responsibilities:

As NFR Specialist, your role is to:

  • Be a trusted NFR advisor towards IT and Business management.

  • Support, challenge and monitor NFR risk management processes and quality.

  • Participate in and challenge risk assessments on key strategic projects and programs.

  • Support the Business and IT management on issue identification, risk rating assessment, action definition and follow up until issue solving.

  • Contribute to the development, maintenance and roll out the NFR Frameworks, Policies, Minimum Standards and Procedures.

  • Perform Quality Assurance or deep dive reviews as part of second line monitoring.

  • Identify external / internal developments, initiatives, and threats. Translate these proactively into the risk strategy.

  • Monitor the design and effectiveness of controls.

  • Contribute to the identification of the impact of and the coordination of responses to law and regulatory changes, ECB reports, etc. and monitors the follow-up of the regulatory issue solving.

  • Support the Head of NFR with research, assessing the risk profile of organization and reporting to Senior Management.

  • Generate awareness related to risk management, within the Organization.

  • Develop and maintain training modules and train the IT / business community.

  • Experience as NFR with approx. minimum 5 years

  • University Degree or equivalent

  • Professional education and multiple international certifications for risk management.

  • Insight of digital banking, related processes, IT applications and regulations. We are looking for a colleague with specific experience in Business banking.

  • Experience on End-to-End processes analysis to identify and assess NFR risks, including root causes analysis. 

  • Expertise on testing methodologies.

    • Collaboration skills and ability to work across functions and countries.

    • Sound risk criteria: ability to be firm when needed and show flexibility when possible

    • Excellent analytical skills

    • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

    • Soft skills:

      • Pro-activeness and initiative

      • Communication and influence

      • Persuasiveness and assertiveness

Tu rol y entorno de trabajo:

Estamos buscando una persona talentosa y entusiasta para el puesto de Especialista en Riesgo No Financiero que se incorpore a nuestro equipo de Riesgo No Financiero (NFR) de ING España.

En el rol de Especialista en NFR, reportarás jerárquicamente a la Head of NFR.

ING está reestructurando sus procesos, controles e infraestructuras para transformarse en un Banco Digital, con el objetivo de lograr un procesamiento de extremo a extremo (straight through processing). La Gestión del Riesgo No Financiero utiliza principios sólidos de gestión de riesgos para garantizar que todo lo relacionado con el riesgo operativo se mantenga dentro del apetito de riesgo del Banco, manteniendo el entorno de control en un nivel aceptable mediante un enfoque basado en riesgos (proporcionado a su valor y criticidad).

El equipo de NFR realiza funciones de supervisión sobre la aplicación de las políticas globales de NFR y de las mejores prácticas dentro de ING España, y proporciona asesoramiento y challenge a las personas responsables de riesgos y controles sobre la eficacia de la identificación y mitigación de riesgos. El equipo es responsable de monitorizar y reportar el grado de adherencia de ING España al apetito de riesgo NFR y de elaborar el informe trimestral del Non-Financial Risk Dashboard (NFRD).

El equipo de NFR se centra en:

Tus principales responsabilidades:

Como Especialista en NFR, tu rol será:

  • Actuar como asesor/a de confianza en NFR para la gestión de IT y del negocio.

  • Apoyar, challenge y monitorizar los procesos de gestión del riesgo NFR y su calidad.

  • Participar y aportar challenge en las evaluaciones de riesgos de proyectos y programas estratégicos clave.

  • Apoyar a la gestión del negocio y de IT en la identificación de incidencias, evaluación del nivel de riesgo, definición de acciones y seguimiento hasta su resolución.

  • Contribuir al desarrollo, mantenimiento y despliegue de los marcos de NFR, políticas, estándares mínimos y procedimientos.

  • Realizar revisiones de Quality Assurance o análisis en profundidad (deep dives) como parte del monitoreo de segunda línea.

  • Identificar desarrollos, iniciativas y amenazas externas e internas, y traducirlos de forma proactiva en la estrategia de riesgos.

  • Monitorizar el diseño y la eficacia de los controles.

  • Contribuir a la identificación del impacto y a la coordinación de las respuestas ante cambios legales y regulatorios, informes del BCE, etc., y monitorizar el seguimiento de la resolución de cuestiones regulatorias.

  • Apoyar a la Head of NFR mediante investigación, evaluación del perfil de riesgo de la organización y reporting a la Alta Dirección.

  • Generar concienciación sobre la gestión de riesgos dentro de la Organización.

  • Desarrollar y mantener módulos de formación y formar a la comunidad de IT y negocio.

¿Qué estamos buscando?

  • Experiencia como NFR de aproximadamente un mínimo de 5 años.

  • Titulación universitaria o equivalente.

  • Formación profesional y múltiples certificaciones internacionales en gestión de riesgos.

  • Conocimiento de la banca digital, procesos relacionados, aplicaciones IT y regulación. Buscamos una persona con experiencia específica en Business Banking.

  • Experiencia en el análisis de procesos End-to-End para identificar y evaluar riesgos NFR, incluyendo análisis de causas raíz.

  • Experiencia en metodologías de testing.

  • Habilidades de colaboración y capacidad para trabajar de forma transversal entre funciones y países.

  • Criterio sólido en riesgos: capacidad para ser firme cuando es necesario y flexible cuando es posible.

  • Excelentes capacidades analíticas.

  • Nivel fluido de inglés (oral y escrito).
