IT Chapter Lead COO Managed Assets

We are looking for an experienced IT Chapter Lead who will contribute to the delivery of the IT services in the domain of COO Managed Assets

Being the IT Custodian for multiple business domains like Global Process Management, Global Data Management and Legal departments, our squads support a wide range of IT solutions, ranging from ARIS to Process Mining, GDPR IT solution to iManage and Legal Spend Management, using a wide variety of technologies: from Windows to RHEL, Apache Tomcat, HTTPD, SCIM, etc. The solutions are managed within the IT Area ‘Managed Tech Services. This IT Area works towards a shared goal to create a SAAS CoE managing our different stakeholders over different business partners in our Area.

As part of support for business partner Corporate Legal, you work together- and communicate with the rest of the CEO-MAS team to ensure all solutions are up-and-running for the business partner in alignment with third party vendors, are prepared for future developments, and adhere to the IT risk framework. The asset owner is part of Corporate Legal and is in close contact with CEO-MAS to align needs and wishes for the workforce of the department on the provided SaaS/CoTS solutions.

As part of the think forward strategy ING is working on global standardization of Business Process Modelling tooling in order to improve collaboration, sharing and standardization.

ARIS (Connect) is a common tool for modelling processes. With this tool ING is able to develop consistent global and local process models and share them across ING. Within ING, ARIS is running on the ING Private Cloud. Here we have deployed Windows Servers and a SQL Server.”

The “COO Managed Assets” chapter is part of Managed Tech Services and as a team we are delivering services for over 55.000 colleagues worldwide.

Your job

As a chapter lead, you are responsible for managing and inspiring a chapter of DevOps engineers and SAAS engineers. Your main task is to enable your engineers to grow their mastery and get better in what they do every day. As a lead you contribute to the delivery of the IT solutions in your chapter.

You work closely with architects and feature engineers to build the technical roadmap for our IT services and find ways to improve the employee experience for the bank.

You are part of the leadership team of the IT area. Together with the other chapter leads and the IT area lead you develop the vision and execute the strategy to inspire our engineers to grow and drive technological innovation.

Managing your chapter means actively working on the development of your engineers through continuous on-the-job coaching and 1:1 conversation, creating a development plan and monitoring it together. Finding the true purpose of your engineers and enabling them to grow in what they love to do and are good at to find that win-win situation for the engineer and ING.

  • Although you are an experienced engineer, you continuously want to grow your personal skills as an engineer and as a leader

  • You have a broad technical background (preferrable in managing Saas and COTS applications), which leads to being innovative in bringing up solutions and ideas

Key tasks

  • Leads the chapter of ARIS, with Engineering team in India and the Netherlands..

  • Leads the Legal Chapter with 3 SAAS Engineers

  • Leads the RFP Request for Proposals regarding new IT solution GDPR.

  • Coordinates RFI and/or RFP processes arising from our business partners needs

  • Support and manage IT for a wide range of different Business stakeholders

  • Being an expert in project management and IT migration projects

  • Improve reliability of critical IT & business services

  • Performing critical business service / critical chain reviews to identify weaknesses to be solved and supporting global major incidents (as expert)

  • Provide expertise to ensure high quality root-cause analysis and ensure follow-up of structural findings with Tech domains

  • Develops and leads people to meet both their individual goals, career goals, organization's goals.

Competencies

What do we look for in a candidate?

  • A Master’s degree

  • Pre is work experience with delivery teams abroad for example India.

  • Fluent communication skills in English

  • 5+ years’ experience in Agile development (SCRUM, Kanban)

  • 10+ years’ of experience working in an IT engineering domain

  • A team player mindset

  • Excellent leadership qualities

  • Strong communicator with an Agile mindset

  • Assertive and not afraid to challenge

  • Armed with excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with a critical mindset

  • High focus on quality and able to convince people to contribute to this

  • Methodological and structured, pays attention to details

  • Result oriented, able to set the right priorities and respect deadlines
