Mission

As a DevOps Engineer in ING Bank Romania - Payments Tribe you will be responsible for the smooth functioning of the operational environments that support application/solution development and deployment, including server and software management, you will deliver support to our customers by providing quality and fast resolutions, involve in fixing production bugs and constantly looking to improve and/or automate our processes and procedures. The DevOps role requires gaining knowledge across the whole stack (like operating systems, disk management, databases, networking, performance, web site, load balancing, security, backups, disaster recovery and configuration management) while also being involved in day to day activities of the squad.

Your day to day

· Working within Continuous Delivery or Continuous Deployment processes;

· Deploy application functionality in Test, Acceptance and Production;

· OS patching;

· Implements changes on all environments;

· Maintain application documentation

· Participate in DR/BCP plans;

· Maintain SLA, System Availability, Capacity management, and Performance KPI

· Working in an ITIL and Agile environment

· Investigate, analyze and document production incidents, according to SLA agreement and urgency;

· Escalation of incidents to 3rd line support, if needed. Work closely with all parties necessary in order to solve problems;

· Collaborate with other teams to ensure that the application is functioning as expected;

· Create and maintain an up-to-date documentation and procedures of your area of support;

· Contribute to the automation and optimization of processes and flows, in order to prevent human error and increase processing speed and the ability to detect errors;

· Test production bug fixes and new developments, when needed;

· Offer help and support to newer colleagues.

· Ideas, suggestions, feedback for improvements are welcomed at all times.

What you bring to the team

· Experience with CI-CD pipelines and tools (Azure DevOps, Azure Boards, Azure Backlog);

· Understanding of key DevOps responsibilities and concepts;

· Familiarity with Build and Release strategies;

· Hands-on experience in process automation, technology efficiency and effectiveness;

· Basic knowledge of UNIX based systems and features;

· Basic knowledge of SQL;

· Good knowledge and demonstrated troubleshooting abilities on connectivity issues due to firewall, load balancer, proxy and others;

· Good knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana, Zabbix, Kibana or Prometheus;

· Organized person, focused, able to work under pressure responding to critical incidents calmly, but effectively and capable to meet certain deadlines;

· Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools;

· Good organizational skills and commitment;

· Ability to adapt to continuous and demanding security changes;

· Positive attitude and oriented towards solving problems;

· The ability to give constructive feedback and openness to receive it as well;

· Ability to work within the team and act as a mentor;

· Ability to work under strict deadlines;

· Ability to effectively interface with technical and non-technical staff at all organizational levels.

Nice to have

· Experience with monitoring tools;

· Windows Administration knowledge: install and secure OS, patching, solve security vulnerabilities;

· Experience with CI/ CD tools is a plus;

· Understanding of Agile / DevOps methodology is considered a plus;

· Experience with integration platforms: IBM WebSphere MQ;

· Experience with the following technologies is an advantage: Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Microsoft SQL Server;

· Ansible knowledge is a plus, Configuration Management.
