The candidate has a hands-on and “DevOps” mindset, a strong customer- and problem-solving orientation, show fast results, and have demonstrated good communication skills, especially in an international IT organization. 

Your Day To Day

• As a Cloud Data Engineer, you contribute and are responsible for the design, development, testing and documentation of components and data pipelines for the extraction and provision of structured and unstructured data within a Google Cloud environment in which data-scienitsts can develop, train and execute machine learning models.
• You ensure fresh data is provided in the Google Cloud environment (e.g. ingesting the data from our datalake, pseudonimize that data and move it into BigQuery so it is available for the data-scientists).
• You have a strong focus on performance, large data sets and towards event-driven architecture
• You assess the efficiency of end-to-end processes by identifying and mitigating risks
• You continuously improve and optimize the ingestion, post-processing and reporting layer of the data platform
• You standardize and reutilize automation patterns as part of the data ingestion and processing stages
• You design and develop automated unit, integration and regression tests
• You prove strong analytical skills, proactivity and ability to work in cross-border international teams.
• You work in an Agile environment, collaborate closely with the Product Owner and Customer Journey Expert to interpret business requirements and estimate, plan, implement, test and deliver as part of short delivery cycles.
• You focus on delivering working software of high quality that satisfies customer requirements.

Tech stack/knowledge:

• Work experience in complex environments
• Work experience with BigData systems (e.g. Hadoop / Dataproc / BQ )
• Work experience Relational Databases (SQL DDL DML)
• NiFi experience building flows
• Experience with cloud environment (preferably GCP)
• Streaming data systems (Kafka) 
• OS Linux (RedHat)
• Python / Bash
• CI/CD Tooling and pipelines  (preferably Azure based)
• Automated deployment and provisioning tools such as Ansible / Terraform
• GIT
• Security Mindset (sharp on vulnerabilies detection & prevention)

Foreign languages: English (advanced)
Education: nice to have Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field..
