Job Profile Summary

The selected candidate will join our global family as part of the leading Metals, Mining and Fertilizers franchise. You will be based in Singapore, helping to manage existing client relationships, and originating new Asian clients in the fast growing battery value chain. You will work to establish strong and effective relationships with both clients and key internal stakeholders. 

To succeed in this role, you will need to work collaboratively within the team, sharing knowledge and supporting each other in the development and growth of our sector expertise. As part of a global franchise, you will need to frequently collaborate with teams in other locations and build up your network. This role offers a career path towards specialized sector coverage with revenue and client portfolio responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Relationship Management - Origination of new clients and management of existing MMF clients for the Asia region.
• Client Pitches - Prepare high quality presentations and pitches to clients, ensuring clear value propositions and tailor-made solutions.
• Transactional Execution - Assist with the structuring and execution of transactions by collaborating closely with key stakeholders i.e., clients, product, risk, legal, compliance, operations etc.
• Credit Analysis - Build/test financial models, perform financial analysis, including debt structures and business valuations. 
• Fostering Commercial Growth - Support the growth of ING’s wallet share of auxiliary businesses (including Financial Markets, Transaction Services, Capital Markets & Advisory). 
• Market and Industry Research – Stay updated on fast evolving market trends and battery value chain developments to support strategic decision making, prepare market summaries and presentation materials. 

What we're looking for:

• 3 - 6 years prior experience in the financial services sector, ideally with a structured project finance background (modeling capability, documentation skills).
• In depth knowledge and experience financing the metals and mining, battery material segment, and or EV sector.
• Strong financial, analytical (including Microsoft Excel modelling) and credit skills, with an eye for detail, and deep interest to find out more.
• Resourceful and willingness to work with clients / stakeholders for solutions. 
• This position requires a high level of proficiency in Mandarin Chinese or Korean. This is essential for interacting with clients from those regions, who primarily speak Mandarin or Korean.
• Independent self-starter, team player and with good commercial acumen.
• Flexible with working hours and willing to travel.
