Bank Guarantee Expert

As a part of the Trade Services Bank Guarantee Team, you will be responsible for advising ING customers, preparing and reviewing guarantee texts, executing tasks within the processing of Bank Guarantees and interact closely with the department.  Clients base is primarily International with some Domestic NL clients, who demand prompt service of a high quality. Employee is expected to abide by international rules relative to Guarantee issuance, compliance and operational risk.

What will you do?

• Guiding ING customers on their (complex) Bank Guarantee needs

• Advising, preparing and reviewing customized guarantee texts, using your legal knowledge

• Issue and amendment of tailor-made as well as standard Bank Guarantees

• Review and monitor any claim handling

• Address queries from internal- and external customers/stakeholders;

• Guide participation in projects (process- and system improvement, training and engagement activities);

• Ad hoc testing of trade finance system applications as per group requirements at any given time

• Ensure that all transactions assigned are handled efficiently and effectively in accordance with the applicable service agreement;

• Monitors pro-actively continuous improvements in data and processes and implements changes

• Knowledge of trade finance inquiries and trade finance transactions from the business and external stakeholders

• Work in and be exposed to a complex, dynamic and international financial environment with a close relation to the day-to-day client business.

• Action-oriented, delivery focused – ability to get things done and deliver high quality results under pressure, with limited supervision

• Possesses a minimum of 5 years of Trade / Bank Guarantees related work experience

• Well informed about current challenges in Trade Finance / Bank Guarantees and have a view on the developments in your area of expertise

• Fluent in English both spoken and written, Dutch language is a plus
