Finance Business Partner (Analytics and Operational Design)

Role and responsibilities  

You will join the COO/CTO End-to-end Finance Business Advice team, a department which consists of 7 finance professionals advising the Global COO and CFO of the bank. 

In this role you advice the MTs of the COO Analytics, Operational Design, Control & Resilience. Your advice is based on the insights you obtain from financial analyses, with the focus on the development of the value drivers. Next to the regular work, you also participate as financial expert in strategic projects on an ad-hoc basis. 

Overall, you are a trusted advisor for senior management and contribute to strategic discussions with your financial expertise. 

This is what your activities will look like: 

  • Together with the business drive the budgeting and forecasting process ensuring collaboration and consensus between stakeholders and leadership teams  
  • Monitor and challenge performance by tracking and explaining value drivers 
  • Advise on all matters concerning operational efficiency, cost modelling, cost allocation to internal clients, financial planning and control 
  • Actively engage in the month-end process, with stringent reviews, analysis, and reporting 
  • Continuously look for process improvements and execute them

Furthermore, you: 

  • have current residency in the Netherlands
  • Have a Financial Master degree 
  • 5+ years experience in relevant position such as a Business Controller, Cost Controller, Finance Business Partner or similar 
  • Resilience in an challenging environment with stakeholders across all levels
  • Proactive, hands-on, and relentless in driving results 
  • Strong communication and influence skills 
  • Experience in translating complex data into sound and clear advice 
  • Confidence in pushing back and managing the expectations of senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment without compromising delivery timelines 
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Knowledge of PowerBI, Hyperion and SmartView is a plus 
  • Curious attitude and willingness to learn and continuously develop to bring the value to the team and company
