A day in your life as a Credit Decision Model Expert driving our Credit Decision Models

With astrongend-to-end perspective, youunderstand and are capable to develop& challengecredit risk modelsaligning to ourbusiness developments,credit risk policies and portfolio steeringactions, actively contributing to the growth of ING Belgium with prudent risk principles guiding your actions. 

Your affinity with quantitative models will make you a champion in that role, with this unique ability to translate customers and business needs into model design and implementation, while balancing perspective with your risk hat on.

Your adaptability and change mindsetiscritical to succeed in this role, supported by strong project management, deliverytrackingand problem-solving thinking. You continuously seek alignment with your stakeholders, both internally within Risk as well as with yourbusiness colleagues. Your sharpeyesfor detailsguaranteeproper execution as well as continuous monitoring for effectiveness and efficiency of our credit decision processes.

In particular, youwill:

• Designcredit decisionmodel solutionsand drive their implementationtogether with model development colleagues,to accelerateautomation in decisioningto boost growth

• Performrisk scenarios andsimulation analysestoidentifymodels and policies optimization, and provide recommendations and solutions

• Closely engagewith

• our key Business stakeholders to ensure that design and implementation reflect commercial strategy,ambitionsand value propositions

• our Credit risk policy experts to co-ideate solutions, ensuringconsistent application of policies and models tosafelydrive automation

• our Credit analytics expert tocontinuously assess the relevance of ourpolicies,modelsand their impact on our creditrisks

• ourHubs andGroup colleagues to co-createand implementmodels in line with applicable standards 

• Act responsibly and proactively with an end-to-end perspectiveto ensure soundness of credit decision models, ensuring regularperformancemonitoringand maintenance, as well as compliance with applicable standards

• Clearly communicateon progress,objectivesand way forwardbyleveragingonkeyproject management anddelivery trackingcapabilities

• Youcanpresent progress at various seniority levels, using strongwritten and oralcommunication skills

• You are structured,know how to make things happen effectively. A project management experience is an asset

• Youanticipaterisksand enable their effective managementwith an open,positiveand collaborative mindset

• You ideally have experience with credit decision models processes and policies

• You dare to speak out

• Fluent in English andideally inDutch or French

• Master'sdegree, with 3 to 5 years relevant experience
