ING is looking for iOS engineer for the ING Mobile Banking App team in Amsterdam, Netherlands

ING Bank NL is looking for a passionate iOS engineer with a solid software development background on the iOSplatform and hands on mentality.

ING Bank’s Mobile App department is a fast environment, with major exposure to other ING markets. The technology which our mobile app is based on is shared with many other ING mobile apps and with our teams we make design, build and run the mobile flows which are used by millions of mobile app users in multiple countries where ING bank has its presence.  

The team

The teams are developing real time banking features right in the mobile app of ING Bank for The Netherlands, Belgium and other countries with ING franchises. The stage for your work couldn’t be bigger than this! The native iOS modules which together constitute the ING mobile app are the technical backbone for end to end digital flows that empower our customers in the ING Mobile banking app every day.

What do you do as an iOS engineer?

As an iOS engineer you work in an all-round feature team with Dev, UX and business colleagues to develop and maintain the ING mobile banking app. Your main focus will be on the development of mobile banking features. We work according to SCRUM Agile development process releasing a new version of the app every 2 weeks.  In your role you have influence on customer satisfaction at ING and therefore it is of the highest importance that the customer interest always comes first.

Working on an iOS app at such a big scale means that you work closely together with a lot of iOS experts. The iOS chapter within ING consists of 50+ iOS experts who all share the same passion: ‘iOS Development’! Because learning and innovation are important to us at ING, we have biweekly Chapter Days to jointly work on new ideas. During this day you are not ‘allowed’ to talk to your Product owner and gaining new knowledge and sharing knowledge is the way to go!

·      Full of of energy and passionate

·      You have a strong, up to date knowledge of IT

·      Focused on working together

·      You are constantly looking for improvements on the tech stack, way of work, individual performance, etc... 

The skillset you need to have:

We are looking for a candidate who has:

·       Proficiency in Swift.

·       Experience with UI Test automation and XCTest.

·       Experience with highly customized UI design. Visual aspects of the app are really important for us.

·       Knowledge of design patters like MVC, MVVM, MVP, composition, protocol oriented programming. Can implement modular architecture using dynamic frameworks.

·       Stays up to date with the latest and the greatest technology released by Apple

·       A team player who is open to sharing knowledge and learning from a great team of developers

·       Likes working in a challenging environment where innovation is given utmost important.

·       Good social and communication skills

·       Experience with Agile methodology

·       Proficient in English and/or Dutch
