Mission

Our mission is to deliver outstanding customer experience and seamless transaction execution for both existing and prospective clients. As part of the Financial Markets Sales team, you will support Corporate or Financial Institution clients by providing high‑quality advisory and execution services across asset classes. You will work closely with Relationship Managers and global FM teams to strengthen our client franchise, drive commercial impact, and contribute to ING’s overall market presence.

About the team

You will join a highly skilled team where stability, strong client selection and a collaborative setup create an environment that is both focused and supportive. The team operates in a fast‑paced, innovation‑driven space — with continuous exposure to new products, systems, and complex transactional activity — offering plenty of room to take ownership and drive impactful initiatives.

Your day to day

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of Corporate or Financial Institutions clients, acting as their primary contact for financial markets solutions

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with treasurers, CFOs, investment managers, and risk officers, delivering market insights and tailored risk, liquidity, and investment solutions

  • Identify commercial opportunities and support revenue growth through proactive idea generation, cross-selling, and close collaboration with global and regional FM teams

  • Originate and execute FM transactions (FX, rates, credit, commodities, structured products) using ING’s dedicated platforms and systems

  • Work closely with Structuring, Trading, DCM, Lending, and Relationship Managers to define commercial strategies and deliver integrated client solutions

  • Oversee client documentation processes (MiFID, EMIR, ISDA, etc.) together with support teams, ensuring timely and accurate completion

  • Comply with all regulatory requirements and internal FM procedures, demonstrating sound risk awareness and responsible decision-making

  • Contribute to product innovation and broader business strategy initiatives

  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed, aligned with business priorities.

What you bring to the team

  • 7–12 years of experience in Financial Markets Sales, covering Corporate or Financial Institutions clients, with a strong track record on a trading floor

  • Solid understanding of key FM products (FX, money market, derivatives, rates, commodities, fixed income) and capital markets solutions, supported by strong macroeconomic insight

  • Proven ability to originate business, generate revenue, and manage complex client relationships at senior level

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Romanian and English, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and build trust with high-level stakeholders

  • Strong commercial mindset, proactive attitude, and confidence operating in a fast‑paced markets environment

  • Customer‑focused, analytical, detail‑oriented, and able to prioritize, problem‑solve, and make sound decisions under pressure

  • Technical understanding of loan products, corporate finance fundamentals, and the regulatory landscape (MiFID, EMIR, etc.)

  • Digital‑savvy, comfortable adopting new systems and tools; strong Excel skills (Bloomberg is an advantage)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
