Lead Finance Advice | Business Partnering @ING Bank

• Act as the primary finance partner for all business lines, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.

• Own the end-to-end performance view across business lines, connecting revenue growth, profitability, Front Office costs and value creation initiatives.

• Provide a forward-looking perspective on business performance, identifying opportunities, risks and key performance drivers.

• Challenge business assumptions and evaluate strategic initiatives, investments and business cases from a financial and value creation perspective.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes, ensuring robust, transparent and consistent financial projections.

• Monitor performance against plans and forecasts, recommending actions to optimize profitability and deliver business objectives.

• Deliver meaningful financial analysis, management reporting, dashboards and executive presentations that support senior management and governance discussions.

• Ensure accurate and insightful performance reporting, including alignment with Group reporting requirements and governance standards.

• Build strong partnerships across Finance, Business, Risk, Operations and Group stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on financial and business performance matters.

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability and a broad understanding of business performance, income drivers and reporting requirements.

What you bring to the team

• Extensive experience (ideally around 10 years) in Finance Business Partnering, Performance Management, FP&A, Management Reporting or related finance functions.

• Strong understanding of banking financial performance drivers, particularly income generation, profitability and business line performance.

• Experience working across multiple banking segments, ideally Retail, Business Banking and/or Wholesale Banking.

• Solid knowledge of management reporting frameworks and reporting processes within a complex financial services environment.

• Proven ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights and recommendations.

• Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience partnering with senior stakeholders.

• Proven experience in leading, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.

• Advanced analytical and presentation skills, with a strong attention to detail and data quality.

• A proactive mindset, strong business judgement and the ability to navigate complexity.

• You understand the story behind the numbers and can translate it into business actions.

• You build credibility through expertise, insight and constructive challenge.

• You create an environment where people develop a broader understanding of business performance and work collaboratively across disciplines.
