This role sits at the heart of the business, partnering closely with Retail Banking, KYC Operations and risk stakeholders.

You will act as a trusted adviser to the business, providing guidance on AML/CTF and Sanctions requirements, supporting customer due diligence escalations, identifying emerging risks and helping embed a strong compliance culture across the organisation.

You will work across a broad range of financial crime matters, balancing regulatory requirements with practical business solutions and contributing to ongoing enhancement of the financial crime framework.

  • Review and enhance first-line procedures and controls to ensure ongoing compliance with AML/CTF obligations.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a Line 2 Financial Crime Compliance advisory role within banking or financial services.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian AML/CTF legislation and Sanctions requirements.
  • Experience managing complex financial crime issues and providing practical risk-based advice to stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and report-writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify risks and deliver business-focused solutions
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
