General information:

You as a Business Manager WB CEE Network will support the Head of WB CEE Network covering Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Romania and Ukraine. As a Business Manager WB CEE Network you should display strong planning and coordination capabilities combined with solid analytical, influencing and communication skills. The role entails various activities, connecting business lines, products and strategic initiatives with common interests and joint benefit. You support the Head of WB CEE Network in strategy, planning and business management matters, Growth and Optimization of the Business, Capability building and Performance management, Internal and External Collaboration and Alignment, Compliance and Risk Management. 

Your main tasks

  • you support the development and execution of the ambition to be the Best Wholesale Bank in Europe within WB in the CEE region
  • you develop, measure, and track WB’s key priorities with an increased focus on alignment and collaboration across the CEE countries and business lines
  • you are responsible for overseeing the DP process from within the CEE region, aligning with Bank-level Strategy and Finance teams and with the CEE countries and business lines
  • you provide quarterly updates on business performance and strategic developments, including Town Halls, cascading materials, WB CEE and MBB updates
  • you assist in developing the regional KPI framework (financial and non-financial) and track progress throughout the year
  • you handle Non-Financial Risk and HR-related topics
  • you provide ring-fenced BM support for WB Austria

Our requirements

  • 5 years of prior experience in WB with a good understanding of ING and WB business lines, products and processes
  • front office experience and finance knowledge preferred
  • prior experience of working in an international environment
  • excellent knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Photoshop
  • excellent command of English, both written as well as spoken is essential
  • ability to craft high-quality management summaries and strategic papers, with prior consultancy experience is considered an asset
  • strong work ethic combined with a very structured and disciplined approach, resulting in getting things done
  • high learning agility, being able to quickly absorb and learn about unfamiliar issues
  • ability to build bridges, bring people together (interpersonal awareness)
  • interest in strategy, growth, and innovation
  • being attuned to the needs of others but able to challenge
  • ability to work with tight deadlines with multiple urgent tasks
