Personal Assistant - Global Infrastructure

We are looking for a Personal Assistant who can support the management team (MT) members of the different tribes within Global Infrastructure to stay organized, prepared, and able to focus on what matters most. You will manage the agenda, support key meetings and events, and help the Management Team work smoothly together. This role suits someone who enjoys structure, responsibility, and being a trusted point of coordination.

About Global Infrastructure and the Management Team

Global Infrastructure is responsible for delivering and managing a cohesive and resilient Global Infrastructure ecosystem that encompasses Hybrid Cloud (Private/Public), Data Centers, Networking, and Middleware capabilities, enabling seamless integration and optimized performance to support the organization’s strategic goals and operational needs. 

You will collaborate closely with Business Managers and the other (Executive) Personal Assistants in Global Infrastructure, to ensure good coordination, smooth planning, and high standards across the team.

What you will do

• Take ownership of complex agenda management. You plan ahead, understand priorities, and know the purpose and sensitivity of each appointment.

• Prepare client meetings, offsites, Town Halls, and other internal or external events. This includes logistics and following up on action points.

• Take care of administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate records, managing expenses, handling purchase orders, and processing approvals.

• Build strong relationships with colleagues and external contacts. You understand how to navigate the organization effectively.

• Arrange business travel and accommodation while balancing quality, timing, and cost.

• Handle information and communication carefully. You draft clear internal notes and client-ready emails in both Dutch and English.

• Have strong stakeholder management skills

• Are confident using Outlook, Teams, and Excel, and can work comfortably with tools like Workday and I-buy (E-Profit).

• Stay calm and organized when priorities shift. You maintain high quality and pay close attention to detail.

The Analytics Engineering Center of Excellence team, with over 50 members and expanding, aims to make ING data-driven by leveraging Big Data and Data Science to deliver impactful solutions. We foster a collaborative and creative work environment focused on supporting our people and projects. 

Role description

Your passion is to work with the latest and greatest technologies in the field of Machine Learning Engineering.  

Do you recognize yourself in this profile:

• Experience working on machine learning projects 

• Practical experience developing with Python 

• Experience designing distributed software with cloud-based managed services (preferably GCP) 

• Familiarity with machine learning technologies and frameworks, such as sklearn, MLFlow, TensorFlow (including those available on GCP) 

• Understanding of MLOps architecture and methodologies 

• Knowledge of software engineering practices including version control, testing, documentation, and code review 

• Experience building data pipelines, including ETL processes and data processing frameworks like pySpark 

• Proficiency in data manipulation and transformation using tools such as SQL 

• Background in monitoring and observability with tools like the ELK stack 

• Experience implementing deployment and provisioning automation tools including Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, and CI/CD 

Nice to have (but Not Required): Even if you don't meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. Experience in these areas is a bonus: 

• Proficiency in Bash scripting and Linux systems administration 

• Experience in developing and maintaining high load APIs 

• Experience with distributed systems and clusters for batch and streaming data (S3/Spark/Kafka/Flink) 

• Experience working within an agile/scrum framework 

• Willingness or ability to use multiple programming languages, such as statically typed languages 

• Contribution to open-source projects is considered advantageous 

• Involvement in the implementation and deployment of cloud solutions incorporating Generative AI and LLM technologies
