Mission

As a DevOps Engineer you need to have a bit of knowledge of a great number of topics like CI/CD Pipelines, automation, monitoring, application performance, IT security, cloud technologies, AI, microservices architecture, enterprise software, project management, and ITIL processes. All these skills will be used in transforming the design, architecture, integration, and deployment mechanism for the existing or new applications.

Your day to day

  • Working Agile with a continuous improvement mindset in a cross-functional international environment to understand customer and business needs and implement conversational experience for our voice, chat & Gen-AI chatbot solutions.
  • Spend a great time dealing not only with computers and software but also with people having both technical and non-technical background, while embracing an Agile mindset.
  • Help ING to expose new digital and seamless capabilities for our customer interactions and improve customer experience within our Contact Center teams.
  • Keep the applications running according to the agreed SLAs, but also improve the customer experience by investing time to understand business needs, develop high quality software/new features, propose, and implement solutions for improvements in terms of security, monitoring, automation, and bug fixing.
  • Anticipate and manage risks with new AI technologies in a sensible environment as the banking industry.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and advancement in AI, cloud technologies and data science and act as an ambassador of the team by participating in diverse workshops, presentations, internal or external events.
  • Be available for on-call support.

What you bring to the team

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and/or Computer Science along with 4 – 7 years of relevant work experience in IT.
  • Exposure to IT Service Management framework (ITIL Foundation – nice to have) and Agile mindset.
  • Knowledge of technologies dealing with containers: RedHat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Experience in developing CI/CD Pipelines (we use Microsoft Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana etc.).
  • Familiar with Public Cloud Platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiar with Expression Languages (e.g. Scala, Python, MVEL etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases (MSSQL).
  • Understanding of Information Security management or compliance frameworks (ISO 27001).
  • Ability to effectively interface with technical and non-technical staff at all organizational levels.
  • Comfortable in working with Incidents / Problems / Change Requests / Service Requests Fulfilment and ability to discuss it with different stakeholders.
  • Excellent technical documentation skills, accurate in documenting and following procedures.
  • Positive attitude and oriented towards solving problems.
  • The ability to give constructive feedback and openness to receive it as well
  • Good command of English.

Nice to have

  • Experience in building virtual assistants on a cloud platform (Google DialogFlow CX) is a strong plus.
  • Familiar with integration of Contact Center platforms (e.q. Twilio) and/or knowledge of topics such as IVR, ACD, call flows, call routing.
  • Experience with Application Performance Management solutions (Elastic APM, Splunk APM/Rigor etc.).
