ING is seeking a passionate and experienced Consultant to join the Consumer Enablement area within our Center of Expertise for Infrastructure Strategy Enablement (ISE).

The team

Our Consumer Enablement team provides our clients with cloud migration expertise, identifying and implementing best practices for infrastructure utilization and optimization. We have extensive experience in lifecycle management and continuous improvement processes. Our team excels in communication, acting as a liaison between various teams and stakeholders. While possessing strong analytical skills, we identify potential challenges and opportunities, adapting to changing environments to continuously improve processes.

Mission: We are seeking a passionate and tech-savvy consultant with a strong background in cloud migration. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify and implement best practices for infrastructure utilization and optimization, aligning these efforts with organizational strategies. They should possess excellent communication skills to effectively liaise between teams and stakeholders, and have the analytical acumen to identify potential challenges and opportunities. The candidate should demonstrate the capacity, drive, and innovation to enhance team agility, continuously improving processes, applications, and infrastructure for cloud readiness. Experience in adapting to changing environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality advisory services and support to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate applications and infrastructure for cloud readiness, develop and execute detailed migration plans, and identify and implement best practices for infrastructure utilization.
  • Align migration and optimization efforts with organizational strategies.
  • Offer guidance and connect teams with appropriate services, acting as a liaison between teams and stakeholders through excellent communication skills.
  • Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables for migration projects.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with cloud governance and security policies.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to upskill team members on cloud technologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement in cloud solutions.
  • Monitor and analyse cloud performance metrics to identify areas for optimization and cost reduction.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies to provide informed recommendations.

What You Bring:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Strategic Product Design, Business Information Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a senior consulting role.
  • Over 5 years of consultancy experience in an internationally operating organization with a focus on banking technology and IT infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex infrastructure challenges.
  • Proficiency in evaluating applications and infrastructure for cloud readiness.
  • Knowledge of migration tools and automation techniques.
  • Exceptional consulting, project management, organizational, and cross-group collaboration skills, with experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality advisory services and support.
  • Dedication to implement advice within the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and continuously improve processes.
  • Innovative and strategic thinker with an eye for detail.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English, preferably as a native speaker.
