The Tribe Reliability, IT Risk & Security (RIRS) is part of the Finance & Risk domain and is responsible for the day-to-day support of management and the DevOps teams from an operational perspective, enabling Finance & Risk to implement and run the Global CISO and Global Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) & Resilience practices accordingly.

The team

Within the RIRS tribe we are looking for an experienced Lead Information Security. In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of IT Risk and Security experts responsible for overseeing all IT Risk & Security developments and IT Risk & Security expertise. The team, in collaboration with Global CISO, 2nd line of defence (IRM) and the F&R DevOps teams, identifies, and mitigates IT risk and security threats through data analyses in systems of record, refining solution paths, gathering global tooling requirements, and participating in process control standards development.

Roles and responsibilities

As lead of the IT Risk & Security Expert team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing ING’s IT Risk & Security strategy within the Finance & Risk domain. You build a strong-identity team that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals. In this role you will collaborate closely with senior leadership, including Global CISO and IT leads, to align strategic security goals with business needs and regulatory requirements. Your leadership will ensure these goals are effectively translated in     to practical and feasible approaches.

In this role you;

  • Lead and develop an team of IT Risk & Security experts.

  • Translate strategic IT Risk & Security goals into actionable roadmaps and delivery plans

  • Collaborate with IT leads, the CIO, Global CISO to effectively communicate key findings and recommendations.

  • Stay ahead of regulatory and threat landscape developments, integrating them into advices and decisions.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related field.

  • Proven leader with 10+ experience in IT risk management, governance, and compliance leadership.

  • Understanding of IT risk frameworks, policies, and control standards.

  • A strategic thinker with hands-on technical IT experience and problem solving skills

  • Ability to analyse complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and engaging manner.

  • Hands-on and pro-active attitude

  • Fluent in English

Desirable Certifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

  • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
