Ich möchte mich bewerben

At ING we have bold ambitions to improve the digital experience for our customers while empowering people’s financial health. At the same time, we want to make a positive contribution to the society and the world we live in. To deliver on these ambitious promises, we need to have a strong strategic and commercially focused organization around our products. We ensure our squads focus on product innovations that deliver real customer value, are commercially viable, and technically feasible. This is where the Product Lead steps in.

The Product Lead is a position where all elements of a product come together, the what and the how, with an end-to-end responsibility. You define how we manage the business value and how we deliver a differentiating customer experience. You enable your squads to deliver and run the product effectively. We therefore need someone who can contribute to a continuous, emerging, all-round product vision that is covering all elements for the product life cycle, with the goal to increase customer impact and deliver business value.

As our new Product Lead Credit Decisioning Engine, you will be responsible for developing, enabling, and steering the vision on credit decisioning. Credit decisioning is a key capability to create a differentiating experience for our business banking customers. Further developing this capability for internal and external consumption is critical for future commercial success.

The team

You lead cross-functional squads by setting a clear strategic direction, coaching them in execution, and aligning stakeholders around a shared product vision. The people who work in the squads report hierarchically to you, which means it is your job to empower them to thrive and perform at their best. You set direction, you help them to develop their craftsmanship and you have continuous conversations about their career development.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Own a product (end-to-end), which means you are accountable for the product vision, including functionality, technology, user experience design, monetising the functionality (or interaction pattern with internal consumers), how to acquire users and customers and offline experiences that are needed to deliver on the product’s value
  • Take collective ownership of the product, including engineering and architecture aspects
  • Perform analyses to stay on top of market trends, to ensure product’s competitive position
  • Define the roadmap of the product to maximize business value through ordering and prioritisation of the product backlog, under consideration of relevant stakeholder needs
  • Prioritise the product backlog (both on functional as non-functional requirements as risks, reliability, IT Run, LCM)
  • Focus on delivery through collaboration, ability to bring people together to work towards the same purpose.
  • Own the strategic roadmap and drive delivery through data-informed decisions, bold leadership, and a clear focus on outcomes. You are a mandated IT asset owner, risk manager, and in case of a non-generic IT asset, data owner for the product and accept test results and approves (IT) changes on the product
  • Ensure adherence to Process Control Standards
  • Build and scale high-performing teams, fostering craftsmanship, ownership, and continuous growth.
  • Ensure compliancy with relevant regulation and internal/external requirements
  • Are the hierarchical manager of a team of Customer Journey Experts, working in multiple squads organized around your product
