Backend Engineer

Key Capabilities/Experience

• Proven track-record of building backend solutions, including implementing RESTful APIs, interfacing with databases, and integrating with messaging services, using a modern tech stack

• Strong fundamentals in software development, including proficiency in OOP, functional programming, design patterns, concurrency, and TDD

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation

• Experience working in Agile, collaborating with teams, and demonstrating adaptability in a multicultural environment

• Willingness to learn cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and IT risk

Minimum Qualifications

Must Have

• Proficiency in Java 8 or higher, Java 11 or higher is preferred

• Competency in Spring and Spring boot

• Experience in code versioning tools, preferably Git

• Experience in Test Automation (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)

• Working knowledge in RESTful API Development

• Great communication and interpersonal skills. Can deliver thought concisely and clearly

• Has experience working with multicultural teams

Good to Have

• Experience with database technologies such as SQL, JPA, Hibernate, etc.

• Working knowledge in Microservices Architecture, Containerization, and Orchestration • Experience with CI/CD platforms, preferably Azure DevOps, and build tools such as Maven • An Agile mindset
