Your role & work environment

Capable of leading procurement projects and activities, up to high financial and high non-financial risk, including global deals, and facilitating the decision making of sourcing alternatives.

Co-lead the creation and implementation of the procurement strategy and management of sensitive and strategic procurement issues.

Report to the Head of Sourcing IT, Telecom and Payments, who reports to the Chief Procurement Officer.

Your key responsibilities

Account management

• Act as a sparring partner, trusted advisor for the business (Exco members or direct reports of Exco members, including global level) in the development of their budget and business plans.

• Build and implement a multi-year account plan incorporating client strategy, priorities, market intelligence and business interdependencies.

• Independently drive stakeholder management, especially C-level (Exco members, CEOs of suppliers, …) to ensure that all stakeholder requirements (including critical risks aspects) are met in the procurement projects and strategies.

Sourcing

• Capable of leading sourcing activities (needs specification, supplier pre-selection, negotiation, contract drafting, ...) up to high financial and high non-financial risks.

• Lead global deals and coach cross-functional team members in the execution of sourcing initiatives end-to-end.

• Obtain best value for money from the supply market, ensure healthy cross-supplier competition, negotiate best contractual terms while mitigating business risks.

Category management

• Continuously enrich expert market intelligence and category (products and services) expertise, to challenge needs, give expert guidance and procure optimal suppliers and solutions.

As a Lead buyer ITS you will also need:

• Minimum of Master or equivalent experience

• Minimum >5 years of procurement experience

• Expert procurement skills and knowledge: negotiation, sourcing strategies, IT categories (products & services) and markets, cost and unit prices, financial and cost management knowledge, commercial contracts and purchase law

• Advanced knowledge of local and global bank-wide organization

• Proficiency in verbal and written English. Proficiency in verbal and written Dutch and/or French

• Proficiency in Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and procurement tools

• Excellent relationship management skills and integrative thinking capabilities

• Skills to present regularly to and to moderate an internal or external executive team
