Mission

You will oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, asset management, general ledger, and reconciliations, while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and tax requirements, and to develop accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Your Day to Day

  • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to senior management;
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles (local and group) and tax related requirements;
  • Develop and implement accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy;
  • Use advanced Excel functions, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and data visualization tools, to streamline financial data management and reporting;
  • Leverage Power BI to create interactive dashboards and visualizations that provide actionable insights into financial performance;
  • Prepare financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making;
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion;
  • Tests and checks system functionality of modified/newly developed products;
  • Performs user acceptance and other tests;
  • Designs and applies the relevant control framework in order to assure compliance with minimum standards of control (as defined by ING Group Finance) and SOX;
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment;

What you bring to the team

  • University degree in Economics;
  • 5-7 years’ experience in the General Ledger control activities and/or Accounting Methodology;
  • Good knowledge of accounting (regulations and principles), IFRS and Financial  Reporting;
  • Computer proficiency: Word, database, Excel, PowerBi, Internet, email;
  • Language proficiency: strong level of English, verbal & written;

  • Knowledge of NBRs rules and regulations, clients, relations, external development;

  • Independence: Sticks to his/her principles despite external pressure;
  • You are driven by challenges and results-oriented;

  • Highly motivated and tenacious; perseverant and resilient in pursuing objectives despite challenges;

  • Patient as internal negotiation/prioritization is required;

    Organized/detail oriented;

  • Ability to lead others and be a strong team player with partners around the globe;

  • Proven success building strong and solid relationships characterized by mutual respect, understanding and trust.
