Mission

This role is critical in shaping the strategic direction and commercial performance of the Private Individuals business line. The influence of the role impacts customer value, revenue growth, competitive positioning, operating model and risk alignment. The purpose of the role is to:

  • Define and lead the strategic vision for the bank’s investment products offering for PI, aligning with long term growth and digital transformation goals
  • Drive digital investment experiences in the long run ensuring intuitive, compliant, and scalable access to investment products across customer segments
  • Analyze and select financial instruments and solutions, considering macroeconomic trends and developments in the financial markets for Private Individuals

Your day to day

  • Shapes the investment platform strategy, collaborating with internal local stakeholders and ING group
  • Defines and evolves the suite of investment products offered to private individuals
  • Monitors market dynamics, competitor moves, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and risks in the investment space
  • Bear accountability over the success of the investments’ product delivery and the achievement of all related performance indicators
  • Ensures continuous optimization of the product portfolio based on client feedback, performance data and evolving strategic goals
  • Is responsible for the financial budgeting and performance of the product
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with digital, tech, compliance, marketing and advisory teams and the rest of business lines to deliver seamless, high impact investment journeys
  • Ensures constant alignment with regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements
  • Acts as lead on cross-Tribe projects, ensuring delivery success.
  • Takes ownership on risk management and follow the appropriate procedures to assess and mitigate financial risk and non-financial risk while operating complex standardized business processes, to protect the organization from undue risks.
  • Acts as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team and beyond in the function

What you bring to the team

  • University degree & post-graduate studies
  • 12-15 years of previous experience in Investments products, preferably from several dimensions (business & tech or & fraud or & security aso). Project management experience is a plus
  • True passion for the customer: customer focus, empathy and interest placed at the center of all undertakings.
  • Persuasiveness: Uses indirect influence. Leading and influencing skills, with proven ability to convince people and to turn resistance into cooperation
  • Ability to build, support and implement, across organizational boundaries.
  • Strong stakeholder management across a wide range of different stakeholders from business customers through IT. Ability to engage and influence at all levels of stakeholder, both internally and externally
  • Independence: Sticks to his principles despite external pressure. Self-starter, high-level of energy and can-do attitude
  • Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills in Romanian and English.
