Overview

Relationship Manager (“RM”) is responsible for client coverage and business development for Korean corporates. As the key point of contact of ING Bank, the RM should make available ING’s global products to clients and eventually maximize the revenue. On top of the RM role, this position is expected to perform a financial advisory role for in collaboration with ING experts in the area (both regionally or globally).

Responsibilities

The principal responsibilities of RM are to:

• Enhance current relationship and increase penetration through close contact with clients in order to obtain more understanding & insight of clients’ needs and eventually maximize cross-selling opportunities,

• Originate new deals that fit client profile and ING capabilities

• Work with counterparts in other countries and with ING’s sector and product experts to ensure timely dissemination of information and to maximize cross-selling opportunities,

• Prepare the relevant client documentation and input the data into ING software and database in order to effectively bring new business initiatives in cooperation with ING counterparts in other countries/sector/products experts,

• Collaborate effectively across products, teams and industry experts to identify and exploit opportunities to cross-sell within the company, and

In any circumstance, responsibilities also include to:

• Adheres to compliance policies, and

• Ensures that business activities are conducted in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

Person Specifications

To be considered for this role, the applicant would ideally possess the following pre-requisites:

• Ideally a bachelor's degree or MBA in finance, economics or business administration

• Strong ability to manage client relationship with more than 7 years working experience as relationship manger or product banker in an international financial institution

• Good knowledge and experience in banking products and credit risk management

• Fluent in English and Korean
