ING Australia is on the search for Lead Cloud Engineer to join the team! The Lead Cloud COE Engineer role is a multi-skilled role responsible for ensuring that applications are developed, deployed and maintained in alignment with infrastructure capabilities, operational considerations and Public Cloud best practice.

In this role you will contribute to cloud engineering initiatives within ING, including design and lead the technical implementation.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned with best practices and bank policies.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate cloud technologies and drive cloud adoption and migrations.

  • Automate infrastructure and operations processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

  • Enhance system reliability and performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery planning.

  • Educate and support teams and clients on cloud technologies, deployment strategies, and best practices.

What are we looking for?

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related field, with relevant public cloud certifications.

  • Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Git and fluent in modern programming languages.

  • Good experience with Infrastructure as code, hands on experience for Azure services creation using Terraform.

  • Proficient in cloud and container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and Azure services.

  • Solid understanding of networking and virtualization including F5 load balancing, Akamai, Hyper-V, and VMware.

  • Self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and navigate ambiguity.
