The Risk Transaction Approval & Advice teams of ING Netherlands are responsible for managing credit risks of customers within ING Netherlands (including Private Banking, Personal banking, Mortgages, Corporate Clients, SME, and Midcorporates). These teams are indispensable within the lending process.

Role and responsibilities

There is now a vacancy for a Financial Risk Officer within the Risk TA&A Portfolio team. This team focuses on Business Banking customers of ING with a credit interest of up to 5 million euros. The Business Banking segment, and in particular the SME segment, is expected to be responsible for a large part of the growth of ING Netherlands in the coming years. In your daily work you have to manage a diverse stakeholder landscape that ranges from Business Advisors, Relationship Managers, Lending specialists, Customer Journey Experts, to Product Owners and CRM Business. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch and shows a hands-on mentality.

How to succeed

It is important that you creatively seek solutions. You communicate openly and transparently, have persuasive power, and can contribute to innovating current workflows and processes.

Additionally, we ask that you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree (or equivalent level of working and thinking).

  • At least 3 years of experience in credit risk management or a commercial role within a financial institution.

  • Affinity with data, data analysis, and automation of credit decisions.

  • Experience in guiding and implementing change.

  • Availability of 36-40 hours per week.

  • A strong dose of positive energy, creativity, and perseverance.
