Are you passionate about data-driven decision making and want to help shape the future of Business Banking? ING is looking for a strategic and analytical Data and Insights Analyst to join our Business Banking Domain as part of our Data and Insights function. This role is pivotal in driving data governance and quality, timely commercial insights to support our business strategy – working across a range of teams in Retail, Risk, Technology and Operations.

What you’ll do

  • Lead data governance and data quality initiatives for Business Banking.
  • Develop reporting and insights to drive performance, pricing, and risk decisions.
  • Identify growth opportunities through data analysis and emerging tools like AI.
  • Support change projects including system upgrades, data migration activities and new product/channel builds.
  • Champion data fluency and deliver training to uplift analytics capability.
  • Deliver actionable insights to inform strategy, project design, and decision-making.

What we’re looking for

  • 6+ years’ experience in banking or financial services, with a focus on data, analytics, or business performance.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Commerce, Finance, or related disciplines. Postgraduate education in data science or programming is highly regarded.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with data analytics, reporting and visualisation tools.
  • Excellent understanding of data architecture and lineage, knowledge of business banking processes, and credit risk data and regulatory reporting a plus
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in agile environments and delivering reporting solutions that drive commercial outcomes.
